No Screenings this Week

In order to help limit the spread of COVID-19 all Chicagoland exhibitors have closed temporarily, and for the first time in the history of Celluloid Chicago we will not have any screenings to list for an indeterminate amount of time. We fully support these closures, but recognize that the choice to close or cancel screenings during this time is very difficult one to make for organizations that revolve around communal movie-going, and will put many of them in a financially precarious position.

Below is a list of vulnerable film-capable organizations who have postponed or cancelled screenings that also accept donations or have membership programs. Support these organizations and their staff if you are able and we’ll all be at the movies together again soon once it’s safe to do so!

Note: Reopening dates are subject to change

Doc Films (Spring Season cancelled)
Gene Siskel Film Center (closed through April 10) – Donations, Memberships
Music Box Theatre (closed through April 3) – Memberships, Gift Cards
Chicago Film Society (screenings postponed till April 30) – Donations
Facets Cinematheque (closed through April 17) – Memberships
Chicago Filmmakers (Closed through April 11) – Memberships, Donations
Egyptian Theatre DeKalbMemberships, Donations
